Untitled, Stella Lee, 2021

Taking photography from nature takes time wandering around without a specific location. But, once you find a view or an object, then still time starts; the camera records the moment, the view, the state and the mood. Until either one, me or the object breaks the fixed silence, we stay still. And it is often the object that makes a move.
It was an eagle. It was a typical day during the pandemic, a calm day good to go out for a short walk with my camera. In the sedentary, still life, at the moment I got out of it, I found another moment to stay still.
My work came from multiple stills. My life is still in this pandemic, and I had to be still for the eagle. Because it is still a life, changes and moves have to happen. It will just never be the same again.
