I'm very empathetic towards what is happening to the homeless. I chose this photo because of the way the lighting shines on the restriction someone might feel towards accessing a possible home. I am concerned as to how and why these people are in their situation. I think people should open their hearts to help instead of having a blind eye.
The driving force behind why I picked this subject is because I see this happening everywhere and I believe something has to change how we all feel about homelessness.  My process is taking a picture that tells a story.
What I would like people to do is to understand how important it is to not look away and ignore them. There are many ways  to help homeless people and that's what I mean; they are people just like you and I.
