Untitled, Kathleen Bato, 2020

For this project, I want to be able to spread positivity. I chose positivity for my message because of Covid-19 and what is happening right now. Through this pandemic, I really learned a lot of things about myself, and I was able to discover new skills that I didn’t know I was able to learn. I want my photograph to say that even if there is a pandemic, there is still a positive side to being quarantined.
I used different bright colours because I think that they express happiness, love and positivity. When I saw Katya Havok’s photographs it was full of colourful colours, and it was very eye-catching, I was inspired by how she used different types of objects to show her message, and like her, I used different coloured objects to express my theme.
From my image, I want people to remember that there’ll always be a rainbow after the rain and that everything will be okay.
