Memory Gallery, Grace Lee, 2021

Inspiration+Imagination+Creativity=Idea
This is my thought process when I create an artwork. Which has been applied to this project too.
Still Life is the embodiment of the current restraint we are experiencing due to the global pandemic; How life is just flowing meaninglessly and stilly. “Memory Gallery” illustrates our brain, reminiscing and missing the times before the biological repression has restricted us. “Memory Gallery” portrays the camera’s ability to capture different stages of life and the photos’ power to preserve and freeze the favourite childhood. By incorporating digital art and photography of physical objects which actually contain my childhood, I have tried hard to illustrate my lingering about the past. Through this artwork, I want to induce people to be thankful to revisit our highlighting moments rather than cursing this serious situation. This tough situation will also remain as a good memory when the time past, when we capture them as another memory.
And will be always staying, remaining, and hanging in the gallery of the brain.
