Divergent, Cassie Gill, 2020

My work reflects the concept of abnormality, or more specifically, what it’s like being neurodivergent in a world that’s not built for you. That middle apple isn’t like the others. Feeling singled out and left out for your differences because, no matter how hard you try, you just can’t fit in. Something just feels off, almost like you have 9 eyes and colourful pipe cleaners sticking out of you. Why doesn’t anyone else?
