Coziness is a warm, great feeling. Having an environment that contributes to that cozy feeling can also play a significant role in your overall feelings. Cozy environments can help you feel very safe, relaxed, and overall content. This particular work represents a sense of my cozy environment: inside on a rainy day. This work was created to express a bit of who I am. The perspective is unique to me because some people may not have the exact same idea of cozy. The artwork is composed of a coffee mug on the right side, and a few books on the left. All of those objects are sitting on a large window sill. The colours of the artwork are very dulled out. My work was influenced by music and the faint sound of rain outside. It reminded me of how much I would love to relax and listen to it. In this piece, I was challenging myself to use multiple mediums and exploring different composition techniques. I’m hoping that my artwork will have viewers feeling calm and relaxed after viewing it.
